NADA Auto Show 2024 kicks off in capital

55 automotive brands being displayed; EVs seem to be prime focus

ATHMANDU, AUGUST 27: The NADA Auto Show 2024, organized by the Nepal Automobile Dealers' Association, commenced today at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu with a grand inauguration by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel.

The five-day event showcases a diverse range of vehicles, including 12 light commercial vehicle brands, 19 two-wheeler brands, and 24 four-wheeler brands. Additionally, 33 companies specializing in lubricants, tires, batteries, garage equipment, and other automotive components, along with 7 financial institutions, are participating in the event. In total, there are 95 exhibitors and 130 stalls.

This year's NADA Auto Show places a strong emphasis on electric vehicles (EVs), reflecting the growing adoption of EVs in Nepal. The event features EVs from global brands such as Tata, Hyundai, Kia, MG, BYD, Seres, Skywell, Neta, Citroen, Henry Volts, Omdo, Lipmotor, Ridara, Avatr, Deepal, Zeekr, New EV, Suzuki, CHTC, Kama, SRM, Gono, Foton, Weltmeister, and Sokon.

Tata is showcasing the Punch EV, Deepal is presenting the LJ Seven, BYD is featuring the M6, and Vinfast is displaying the VF5. Hyundai is exhibiting the Ioniq 5 and Creta facelift, while Mahindra is showcasing the XUV 4000. Kia is presenting the EV-6 and EV-9, and Citroen is featuring the EC3 model.

In addition to the main exhibits, CG Motors is introducing the Avatar 11, Radar RD6, and Xpeng models at the NADA Auto Show 2024. Lakshmi Intercontinental is showcasing the Kai EX3, while G Motors is presenting the Skyweb car.

Tata EV serves as the title sponsor of the event, with Shikha Insurance Company as a co-sponsor. Other strategic partners include Heo Xoom Scooter, Khalti, Wordlink, and Hitco. The event is being managed by Global Exposition and Management Service Pvt Ltd, ensuring a well-organized and impactful show.
