Tata unveils Punch EV at Nada Auto Show

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 27: Sipradi Trading P. Ltd., the exclusive distributor of TATA Motors in Nepal, has launched Punch EV today at the NADA Auto Show. The five-day expo started at the Bhrikuti Mandap in the capital.  

"The newly launched four-wheeler is TATA's first product based on its new Pure EV architecture, the acti.ev. This model distinguishes itself with advanced technology, environmental consciousness, and affordability," claims the company adding," As a true electric SUV, it features 16-inch Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) tires, 190mm of ground clearance (when unladen), 350mm water wading capability, and impressive approach, departure, and ramp-over angles."

The Punch EV also features 90-degree opening doors, a flat second-row floor, 366 liters of boot space, an additional 14 liters of space in the front trunk (frunk), and 32 cabin cubby holes for smart storage.

The   product is available in two battery pack options: a 25 kWh pack for the Standard Range (MR) and a 35 kWh pack for the Long Range (LR). The LR version, tested in Nepal, offers a real-world range of 270-290 km. 

The Punch.ev features two e-Drive options, providing robust performance with a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 9.5 seconds and a top speed of 140 km/h. Both the battery and motor of the compact SUV are IP67 rated for dust and water protection. Additionally, the vehicle comes with a comprehensive 8-year or 160,000 km warranty, ensuring customers peace of mind regarding durability and reliability.

Punch EV is priced at Rs 33 lakh 99 thousand in the Nepali market.
