NA to run flights between Tarigaon and Kathmandu just once a week

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 9: The state-owned Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will operate flights to Tarigaon Airport in Tulsipur only once a week. Flights between Tarigaon and the federal capital, Kathmandu, will take place on Fridays, according to the Corporation's head in Dang, Bal Bahadur Sunar. This is due to a lack of aircraft, as one of NAC's planes has been grounded.
The aircraft will arrive at Tarigaon at 12:00 noon on Fridays and depart at 12:20 PM. The fare from Dang to Kathmandu is Rs 7,100, and from Kathmandu to Dang, it is Rs 7,250, Sunar said.
There have been frequent calls to make air services to the airport more regular. The airport was established in 2011 BS with a 750-meter runway, accommodating only 19-seater aircraft.
