Finance Minister and IMF Deputy Director hold courtesy meeting

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 22 : Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel held a courtesy meeting today with Rupa Duttagupta, the International Monetary Fund (IMF)'s Deputy Director for the Asia Pacific Region, at the Ministry of Finance.
On the occasion, the IMF Deputy Director remarked that she had observed improvements in Nepal's economy. She expressed encouragement by the reforms in investment facilitation laws, the execution of the revenue mobilization strategy, and the implementation of various economic recommendations, as stated by Finance Minister Paudel's Secretariat.
During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Paudel noted that the government is working in a planned manner to strengthen the economy.
