LS Capital, NIIF sign deal
KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 6: Laxmi Sunrise Capital Limited (LS Capital) and the Nepal Infrastructure Investment Fund (NIIF) have signed an agreement to provide advisory services for NIIF's Initial Public Offering (IPO). Bijaya Lal Shrestha, CEO of LS Capital, and Dr. Manish Thapa, Executive Chairman of NIIF, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Established by Global Equity Fund Limited (GEF), NIIF serves as a permanent investment vehicle for Nepal's insurance companies. It focuses on sectors such as agriculture, clean energy and technology, tourism, ICT, healthcare, and manufacturing. The fund has an authorized capital of NPR 150 crores and an issued capital of NPR 120 crores, with 20% of the shares reserved for the upcoming IPO.
On the other side, LS Capital is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Laxmi Sunrise Bank Limited, formed through the merger of Laxmi Capital and Sunrise Capital. As a licensed merchant banker, it offers a comprehensive range of merchant and investment banking services.
