Hydropower companies, financial institutions contribute to PM Disaster Relief Fund

KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 7: Domestic and foreign hydropower companies, along with financial institutions, have made significant monetary contributions to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. Today, at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, various representatives handed over cheques of different amounts to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

According to the Prime Minister's secretariat, RP Goyal from India’s largest hydropower company, National Hydropower Corporation (NHPC), contributed Rs 10 million. Prashant Sharma, the Chief Executive Officer of Arun-III Jal Vidyut Project Limited, also donated Rs 10 million. Additionally, Devi Prasad Bhattachan, Chairman of Prabhu Bank, contributed Rs 10 million, while Rajendra Das Shrestha, Chairman of Prime Commercial Bank, donated Rs 3.1 million.

Other notable contributions included Rs 2.5 million from Rajendra Malla, Chairman of Prabhu Insurance Limited, Rs 2.5 million from Shiksha Bhattachan, Chairman of Prabhu Mahalakshmi Life Insurance, and Rs 2.5 million from LP Bhanu Sharma, Chairman of Prabhu Capital.

Prime Minister Oli expressed his gratitude to all the contributors for their generous support to the Fund aimed at aiding the relief efforts for those affected by the disaster.
