Nepali student of The British Collage becomes world’s top performer in ACCA Exam

KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 18: Ashutosh Sharma, a student from the British Professional College (BPC), a sister institution of The British College, has become the world’s top-performing student by scoring 100% marks. Sharma achieved this remarkable feat in the Financial Reporting exam under the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) held in September.

BPC/ACCA students have consistently achieved top scores worldwide. Breaking previous records, Sharma secured perfect marks this time, making him the first student from Nepal to achieve a 100% score.

Previously, students from BPC, Dipanshu Thapa and Harshvardhan Shah, had achieved global recognition in the June 2023 Taxation exam, securing the second and third positions globally with 98% and 97% marks, respectively. Similarly, Ranjan Paudel secured second place with 91% in Strategic Business Reporting. Additionally, Riya Manandhar and Rejika Maharjan have also been recognized twice as top students globally.

The ACCA program is one of the largest and fastest-growing international accounting bodies, with over 526,000 students studying across 180 countries. The outstanding global achievements of BPC students reflect an extraordinary accomplishment.

"Achieving 100% in the Financial Reporting exam, taken by thousands of students worldwide, is an exceptional achievement. This remarkable result proves that the teaching methodology at The British College is of international standard," said Dipendra Shrestha, Senior Program Manager of ACCA, congratulating Sharma. "This success has raised our pride, and we extend our congratulations to Ashutosh and the faculty involved. We look forward to maintaining such results in the future."

With a track record of producing world-class results, the college has earned the prestigious 'Platinum Approved Learning Partner' status. This is said to be the highest level of recognition awarded to educational institutions.
