Tanahun Hydropower sees above 50 per cent progress

DAMAULI (TANAHUN), OCTOBER 20: The Tanahun Hydropower Project, with a capacity of 140 MW, has achieved 58.1 per cent overall progress.
The project is being implemented in three packages, with 52.07 percent financial progress so far, according to project chief Shyamji Bhandari.
Under Package-1, 35 percent progress has been made in constructing structures, including dams. Package-2 has witnessed 59 percent progress in the construction of power plants, while Package-3 has achieved 73.5 percent progress in the construction of transmission lines.
The project aims to be completed within the next two years. The ongoing works include the supply, installation, and operation of hydromechanical and electromechanical equipment, along with the construction of tunnels and powerhouses.
In package-3, India’s KEC International is building a 220 kV double-circuit transmission line from Damauli to Bharatpur in Chitwan.
