Sherpa Adventure Gear Nepal wins Ncell Corporate Golf Tournament
KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 28: Tashi Dong and Dorje Hozangsang from Sherpa Adventure Gear Nepal clinched the title at the Ncell Corporate Golf Tournament held on Saturday (Oct 26) at Gokarna Golf Club. The duo delivered an impressive score of 10 strokes under par, finishing with 62. As champions, they were awarded four round-trip tickets to Dubai, a Callaway iron set, and gift hampers.
Indradhara Bista and Madhav Simkhada from Mustang Golf Club secured second place with a score of 6 under par (30) over 9 holes. Their prizes included Callaway AI Smoke drivers, iPads, and gift hampers.
Vijay Shrestha from Leon Motors and his teammate Phursang finished third, receiving Callaway golf bags and gift hampers.
In the individual category, Vijay Shrestha won the Longest Drive award, earning a rangefinder and a gift hamper. Prabin Shahi Thakuri won the Closest to the Pin award, also receiving a rangefinder and gift hampers.
The tournament’s prizes were presented by Ncell CEO Jabbor Kayumov, along with Gokarna Golf Course chairman Suhrid Ghimire and Captain Joseph Nathan.
Ncell announced it would double the total amount collected from the tournament’s entry fees. The funds will be used through the Ncell Foundation to provide educational kits to students across Nepal.
Kayumov expressed gratitude to Gokarna Forest Resort and other partners for their support. “This effort goes beyond the game, contributing to education and community development,” he said.
A total of 55 teams participated in the tournament, following a stroke play format with four-ball better ball rules.
The funds raised will go towards social and charitable initiatives through the Ncell Foundation. Ncell pledged to top up the collected amount to NPR 3 million to support these efforts.
