Nepal beat Thailand in U-19 World Cup Cricket Asia Qualifiers

Nepal defeated Thailand in the ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers, currently taking place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In their fourth match yesterday, Nepal secured a dominant 106-run victory over Thailand.
This match marked the second encounter between the two teams in the tournament. In their first meeting, Nepal had also triumphed over Thailand, winning by 67 runs.
Winning the toss and opting to bat, Nepal posted a total of 139 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Thailand managed only 33 runs in 16 overs. Nepal's Sana Prabin led the scoring with 53 runs, while Sabitri Dhami added 28 runs, and Soni Pakhrin contributed 19.
Earlier in the tournament, Nepal defeated Kuwait by 108 runs in their second match but suffered a 13-run loss to the UAE in their third game on Saturday. The tournament features four teams: the UAE (hosts), Nepal, Kuwait, and Thailand. Each team will play two matches against every other team, with the top-ranked team qualifying for the ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup, set to be held in Malaysia in January 2025.
Nepal will face Kuwait in their fifth match on Tuesday.
