Government honors Top Taxpayers
Nepal Telecom recognized as the highest corporate income taxpayer, while the title of top individual income taxpayer conferred to Raj Bahadur Shah

Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has honored top taxpayers on the occasion of National Tax Day. The Inland Revenue Department organized an event to recognize these exemplary taxpayers for the last fiscal year 2023//24.
During the program, Nepal Telecommunications Company (Nepal Telecom) was recognized as the highest corporate income taxpayer, while Raj Bahadur Shah received the award for the top individual income taxpayer.
According to the Department, Shruti Traders was acknowledged among sole proprietorship firms, Dabur Nepal for excellence in commodity exports, Codavatar Pvt. Ltd. in the information technology sector, Patanjali Ayurveda in the agriculture and livestock industry, Nabil Bank in banking, and Lumbini Medical College and Teaching Hospital for contributions in the health and education sectors.
In the tourism sector, Taragaon Regency Hotel was awarded, while Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket was recognized in commodity trading. CDAAT & Clearing Limited received an award among taxpayers with an annual turnover of 50 to 100 crore rupees.
Bhote Koshi Power Company was honored in the energy sector, and City Express was acknowledged for its contributions to remittance and money transfer services. Hongshi Shivam Cement was also recognized for timely filing of value-added tax (VAT) returns and consistent tax compliance.
