Health Insurance Act to be amended : service provider to be kept at each level

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 14: A service-providing institution will be established at each level for health service insurance. The Health Insurance Board must now sign an agreement to ensure at least one service provider at every level.
In order to materialise this, Minister for Health and Population, Pradeep Paudel, presented an amendment proposal to the Health Insurance Act to the Council of Ministers meeting. The amended Act is expected to resolve the issue of insurance members being unable to access services within their municipality. Minister Paudel's secretariat is currently preparing to amend the Health Insurance Regulation to implement these changes.
