Fuel prices go up

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 16: The price of petrol has been raised by two rupees per litre, while diesel and kerosene prices have gone up by three rupees per litre.
With the revised pricing announced yesterday, petrol will now cost 162 rupees and 50 paise per litre in the first category locations, 164 rupees per litre in the second category, and 165 rupees per litre in the third category. Similarly, diesel and kerosene prices have been fixed at 153 rupees and 50 paisa per litre for the first category, 155 rupees per litre for the second category, and 156 rupees per litre for the third category.
The NOC has categorized its depots into three groups. The first category includes Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj depots. The second category covers Surkhet and Dang depots, while the third category comprises Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal depots.
This adjustment reflects NOC's strategy to align fuel prices with its regional classifications and current market dynamics.
