inDrive Nepal launches Accidental Insurance for drivers and passengers

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 14: InDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, has introduced an Accidental Insurance policy in collaboration with Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited. This initiative aims to enhance safety and provide financial security to both drivers and passengers in the event of unforeseen incidents during their rides.
Ms. Rita Pokharel, Country Representative of inDrive Nepal, and Mr. Chunky Chhetry, Chief Executive Officer of Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited, signed the agreement yesterday.
Under this agreement, NPR 800,000 will be provided in case of death or permanent total disability of drivers or passengers. Additionally, up to NPR 80,000 will be reimbursed for medical treatment expenses resulting from an accident. For minor passengers, the compensation will be 50% of the insured amount.
