Second International Women Leadership Summit 2025 to be held on Mar.16

To be organisd by CNI, it will bring together approximately 500 participants from various fields

KATHMANDU, MARCH 13 : The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) is set to host the second edition of the International Women Leadership Summit 2025 on March 16 in Kathmandu. The summit is being organized in collaboration with Nepal’s Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies. The announcement was made during a press conference held yesterday at the CNI Secretariat in the capital.

The event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and will feature panel discussions on key topics, including technology and innovation, women in sustainable agriculture, investing in women, and beyond boundaries.

Speaking at the press conference, CNI President Rajesh Kumar Agrawal emphasized that the summit will serve as a platform for transformative women leaders, national and international experts, and policymakers to engage in meaningful discussions on policy interventions needed to advance women’s leadership in Nepal. The event will highlight successful case studies and best practices to inspire and empower women.

According to CNI Women Leadership Forum Chairperson Chhaya Sharma, the summit will bring together approximately 500 participants, including prominent and influential women from politics, economics, social sectors, health, and the environment, both from Nepal and abroad.

CNI Senior Vice President Birendra Raj Pandey remarked that such summits play a vital role in advancing women’s leadership and empowerment. Nabil Bank’s Deputy General Manager, Adarsha Bajgai, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting women’s growth, stating that their partnership with the summit aligns with their ongoing initiatives to empower women entrepreneurs and professionals.

In addition to discussions and networking opportunities, the summit will also feature an exhibition of locally made products under the “Make in Nepal” initiative.

The title sponsor for the summit is Nabil Bank, while the event is powered by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
