Subedi appointed new Executive Director of NIA

KATHMANDU, MARCH 14: Sushil Dev Subedi has been appointed as the Executive Director of the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA). The Authority’s Board of Directors, in a meeting today, decided to promote Subedi to the position based on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.
The newly appointed Executive Director assumed office today, according to the Authority.
The committee had recommended Subedi for the position in Magh (mid-January to mid-February). The post had remained vacant since May 24 last year following the retirement of Raju Raman Poudel, leaving the Authority without an Executive Director for ten months.
Subedi was among three contenders for the position, alongside Directors Kamal Regmi and Pujan Dhungel. Based on performance evaluation and seniority, the committee recommended him for the appointment.
