Raya appointed as Auditor General

KATHMANDU, APRIL 18: President Ramchandra Paudel today appointed Toyam Raya as the Auditor General of Nepal at the recommendation of the Constitutional Council. The appointment took place in accordance with Article 240 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.
This was stated in a press release issued by the Spokesperson of the Office of the President, Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai.
The Parliamentary Hearing Committee on Tuesday (April 16) endorsed Raya to the post of Auditor General. He expressed his commitment to make efforts to reduce arrears while presenting a 15-page action plan before the House panel the same day.
