Nerude, Mirmire commence joint operation

KATHMANDU, MARCH 14: Nerude Microfinance Company, located at Morang in Bratnagar, and Mirmire Microfinance Company, situated in Banepa of Kavre, have commenced their integrated operations after completing the merger process. The very operation was inaugurated by the Chief of the Regulation Department of Banks and Financial Institutions (BFIs) of Nepal Rastra Bank, Guru Prasad Pokharel, during a program held in the capital yesterday.

To be located at Ward No.8 of the Banepa Municipality in Kavre, the newly merged entity named Nerude Mirmire Microfinance Company boasts a paid-up capital of Rs 1.39  billion. Equipped with 12,00 staffers, it has more than 260 branch offices across the country.

Speaking during the inauguration program, its chief guest Adhikari congratulated Nerude Mirmire Microfinance Company and wished for greater professional success of the company in the days to come.

On a different note, Adhikari divulged that the central bank has already directed the BFIs to restructure and reschedule loans for those who are facing difficulty in repaying in a timely manner.

During the program, the President of the Microfinance Association of Nepal, Jagat Bahadur Pokharel, President of the Nepal Microfinance Bankers’ Association, Ram Bahadur Yadav, among others, expressed their respective views.
