Capital market takes a bullish run, exceeds 2100 mark

KATHMANDU, MARCH 12: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index posted an impressive increase of 58.55 points ( 2.85%) closing at 2111.24 on Tuesday. There was a transaction of 10,609,597 units of shares, leading to a total turnover of Rs 4.55 billion.
During today’s trading session, all sector sub-indices closed in the green. Life Insurance saw the highest gain of 5.54% followed by Microfinance at 5.05%.In terms of the transaction amount, Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) led the pack at Rs 370 million.
Five microfinance companies namely Janautthan Samudayic, Jalpa, Samudayik Swabhimaan, Unnati Sahakarya and WEAN Nepal each experienced a 10% increase, hitting the positive circuit for the day.
