NEPSE index plunges by 10.50 points

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 11: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index today fell by 10.50 points or 0.50% to close at 2085.82 points. The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also shed 3.89 points. The daily turnover went up to Rs 4.08 billion during today’s session from Rs 3.21 billion on Thursday.
Sectorwise, except for the Development Bank, HydroPower. and Mutual Fund, the sub-indices of all others closed in the red. Manufacturing and Processing recorded the highest loss of 2%, while the sub-indices of Life Insurance and Investment each lost 0.28%. The HydroPower and Mutual Fund gained 0.22% and 0.05% respectively.
When it comes to individual companies, Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (SAMAJ) was the top gainer with its per-share price going up by 10%. Conversely, NIC Asia Growth Fund-2 (NICGF2) lost the most as its per-share price went down by 10%, closing at a market price of Rs 9 per share.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover amount with a total transaction of Rs 620 million.
