Ncell 4G: Service further improved in Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Provinces
Kathmandu, February 1. Ncell has further improved its 4G service at the local level of various districts of the Sudurpaschim and Lumbini provinces. Along with this, customers from more than one-and-a-half dozen areas of these provinces now can benefit from improved 4G service.
In line with its commitment to ensure easy access to modern mobile broadband connectivity by expanding the 4G service, Ncell has further improved the 4G service in these locations. The company remains committed to improving the already expanded 4G service in different parts of the country with the necessary investment, depending on the need for improvement.
The localities where the 4G service has been improved include Belauri, Dhangadhi, Gauriganga, Ghodaghodi, Janaki, Krishnapur and Lamkichuha in the Sudurpaschim Province. Similarly, there are Butwal, Devdaha, Ghorahi, Lumbini Development Area, Narainapur, Omsatiya, Sainamaina, Siddarthnagar, Sunwal, Tilottama, and Tulsipur in the Lumbini Province where the service has been improved.
As part of its commitment to deliver world-class services and customer experience through the introduction of modern technology and a state-of-art network, Ncell launched 4G in the Kathmandu Valley on 1 June 2017, enabling customers to access high-speed mobile broadband connectivity. Ncell has already expanded the 4G service in all 77 districts and its population coverage has reached 92.09 percent.
According to the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA)’s statistics, Ncell’s 4G subscribers stand at 6.88 million as of mid-October 2023 in terms of the Visitor Location Register (VLR) with 54.06 percent market share. Along with service expansion, Ncell has also been upgrading 4G capacity in its towers in various districts.
