“High-level Commission should be formed for resolving dedicated feeder, trunk line dispute”

DECEMBER 29: President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Chandra Prasad Dhakal has urged the government to form a high-level commission to immediately address the dispute surrounding dedicated power feeders and trunk lines provided to the industries.
It may be noted that the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) recently disconnected dedicated electricity lines (named dedicated feed and trunk lines) of some industries citing unpaid dues.
In the Dolakha Festival’s inaugural in Charikot, Dolakha, President Dhakal today said that this dispute, if not resolved, would only diminish the morale of the entrepreneurs and would further deteriorate the investment climate in the country.
He viewed that the formation of a high-level commission would address the current issue once for and all. He also warned the dispute between the NEA and entrepreneurs regarding this would create more problems for the country’s economy.
