Prolonged delay in construction of sky bridges along Ratna Highway

Banke, December 11: There has been a prolonged delay in the construction of sky bridges along the Kohalpur-Surkhet section of the Ratna Highway in Banke.
Some 13 years back, an agreement regarding the construction of such bridges in six five different places of the said section was reached. But, the process of executing the project is yet to be taken forward.
According to reports, the main reason behind this is the dillydallying on the part of the Ministry for Physical Infrastructure and Transportation to approve the design of the sky bridges. The Department of Roads cannot permit the related contractor-Dynamic Construction Pvt Ltd- to move ahead with the project sans the design approval.
