GLOBAL NETWORK CARDS ARE NOW ACCEPTED AT POS TERMINALS OF HIMALAYAN BANK

Kathmandu, Nov 22.  Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL), the only Bank in the Nepalese banking industry providing a wide range of credit, debit and pre-paid cards of different international brands, has now started accepting Discover®, Diners Club International® and network alliance cards under Discover® Global Network.

With the successful collaboration between HBL and Discover Global Network, cardholders will have more options to make payment at merchant locations in Nepal. It offers HBL’s merchants a share of more than $500 billion annually in global spend opportunity and access to over 280 million + global cardholders.

HBL has now enabled all POS terminals at various hotels, restaurants, retail stores at various tourist attractions such as Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini and so on within Nepal. Merchants in Nepal displaying the logos of “Diners Club International” and “Discover” accept purchases made with cards that run onthe Discover Global Network.
