Toyota’s Yaris Cross Hybrid launched

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 11: United Trader Syndicate Pvt Ltd., the authorised dealer of the Toyota four-wheeler brand, has launched the Yaris Cross Hybrid in the Nepali market. It did so by holding a program recently in the capital.

The self-charging Yaris Cross is driven using both an engine and a battery-powered electric motor. It is powered by a 1496cc, 4-cylinder in-line petrol engine, generating up to 112 PS and 141 Nm of torque, and coupled with an e-CVT gearbox. The vehicle also gets regenerative braking and three drive modes.

In terms of its dimensions, the Yaris Cross boasts a length of 4310 mm, a width of 1770 mm, and a height of 1615 mm. It features a lengthy wheelbase of 2620 mm and a generous ground clearance of 210mm.
Toyota has incorporated several features in the Yaris Cross, including LED headlights with DRLs, LED fog lights, and connected LED taillights. The Yaris Cross offers a hands-free powered tailgate, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, multi-colour ambient lighting, a wireless mobile charger, and smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
When it comes to safety, the Yaris Cross is equipped with 6 airbags, vehicle stability control, hill start assist control, reverse camera, front and rear parking sensors on both sides and various other modern safety features. Additionally, it includes an electric parking brake with an auto hold function and a blind spot monitor.

It is priced at Rs 12.2 million in the Nepali market.
