Kathmandu,May 21 .TrustBiz Private Limited and the Brussels-based Belgian Banking Academy(BBA) have entered into an memorandum of understanding with the objective of collaborating for conducting high level studies as well as designing and conducting training programmes on banking. The Belgian Banking Academy is an organization established by the Belgian Banking Association for imparting training courses on banking.
The Academy provides training as required in order to meet the needs of capacity building of the office bearers and official of the banks in Europe. TrustBiz and the Academy, in collaboration with each other, will share expertise and knowledge for banking training courses to be held in Belgium and other European countries as well.
This collaboration will contribute to the organization of orientation and refresher training programmes for the board of directors of banks to be conducted by the experts from the Belgian Banking Academy on corporate good governance, risk management, conflict of interests, compliance, relationship and co-ordination with regulators along with international best practices.
Similarly, the Academy will also conduct training programmes in coordination with TrustBiz for the senior management of banks on risk management, operation, banking technology and banking and financial instruments.
“This agreement will result in the increase of access of banks in Nepal to the experience, knowledge and skills of the mature and developed European banks,” Mr. Dibas Neupane, Chief Executive Officer of TrustBiz said.
