Nepali Students Awarded Scholarships by Pakistan Embassy

Kathmandu, April 25. The Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal held its 12th Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony today at Hyatt Place, Kathmandu. The ceremony saw 180 deserving Nepali students from 119 schools across the country receive the prestigious “Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarships.”

Mr. Suresh Adhikari, Secretary of Nepal’s Ministry of Education, Science and Technology graced the event as the Chief Guest and presented the scholarships.

Both Mr. Adhikari and Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi of Pakistan emphasized the strong bond between the two nations. Mr. Adhikari commended Pakistan’s continued support for education in Nepal, calling it a reflection of the close relationship. He also lauded the positive impact graduates of Pakistani programs have on Nepal’s development.

Ambassador Hashmi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the scholarship program and expressed a desire to broaden their educational cooperation to encompass both secondary and tertiary levels. He emphasized the importance of fostering youth development through education, sports, and social activities, terming it a cornerstone of Nepal-Pakistan collaboration.

Launched in 2013, the Ambassador of Pakistan scholarship program has gained significant popularity among Nepali students, demonstrating Pakistan’s growing investment in Nepal’s future.
