Cimex expands its charging network, installs `11 DC Fast Chargers

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 12: Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd. in Nepal, has expanded its charging network by installing 11 DC Fast Chargers across key locations in the country. Such locations include Anamnagar, Naxal, and Guheshwari of the capital along with Pokhara, Nepalgunj, Butwal, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Narayanghat, Mulkot and Birtamode.  Among these, 10 chargers boast a power output of 30 kW, while the charger installed particularly  Mulkot in Sindhupalchowk is equipped with a robust 60 kW DC Fast Charger.

“The very expansion adds to the  14 units of 40 kW AC Fast Chargers installed previously by the company across Nepal.  Cimex plans to still further amply the charging network by establishing 18 DC Fast Chargers by the end of December 2023.

“As a key player in the electric mobility landscape, Cimex is not only facilitating the transition to greener transportation but is also actively contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions in Nepal. The company remains committed to staying at the forefront of technological advancements in the electric vehicle sector,” the company claims.

BYD ATTO 3 supports up to 88 kW of DC Fast Charging, whereas BYD Dolphin is capable of up to 60 kW of power intake. This allows for up to 80% charge in as little as 30 to 45 minutes in BYD EVs.
