IMS, Sabko Phine forge strategic partnership

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 15: IMS and SabKo Phone have reently announced a strategic partnership for the launch of the IMS SabKo Phone. This is aimed at enabling customers to exchange their used mobile phones of any major brand for Samsung smartphones. It provides a user-friendly web-based system, where customers can input key details of their used phones to receive prompt and precise valuations, facilitating easy upgrades to new Samsung smartphones, according to a press release.

A genuine VAT invoice of the used mobile and a valid government ID card is mandatory for the exchange process. This exchange facility is currently available exclusively at Samsung-authorized IMS SMart outlets and authorized resellers in Kathmandu.

“The partnership between IMS and SabKo Phone aims to enhance the exchange experience, making phone switching convenient. We’re dedicated to addressing e-waste challenges by upcycling used phones. Our transparent and value-driven approach sets a benchmark for socially responsible entrepreneurship in Nepal.”  Uttam Kafle, the founder of SabKo Phone,  was quoted by the release as saying.

Similarly, Dikesh Malhotra, President and CEO of IMS Group, reportedly said, “We are confident that this collaboration with SabKo Phone will redefine the mobile exchange landscape in Nepal. Our first phase of execution will focus on Kathmandu outlets and eventually, we will be providing the exchange facility across Nepal.

“By combining our expertise with SabKo Phone’s innovative solutions, we are ensuring that our customers get the best valuation for their used phones, making it easy and convenient for them to upgrade to Samsung smartphones. “
