NBI & Kamana sign to MoU Banking Certification Course

Kathmandu, April 20 . National Banking Institute Ltd. (NBI) and Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Ltd. signed an MoU to train their Bank staff for JANBI – Professional Banking Certification Course. Under this arrangement, 100+ Kamana Sewa staff from all over Nepal will undergo JANBI course. CEO of NBI, Mr. Sanjib Subba and CEO of Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Ltd. Mr. Prabin Basnet signed the MoU.

JANBI is a professional banking certification course that captures in depth knowledge on 1) Principles and Practices of Banking; 2) Accounting and Finance for Bankers & 3) Legal and Regulatory Requirement for the banking. Successful candidates are awarded JANBI certification by the Institute. The objective of the course is to develop and enhance the skill and capacity building of the existing banking professionals.

The program is majorly designed and targeted from the assistant to assistant manager level and has been receiving great feedbacks from the bankers at large in terms of the knowledge and skills they have acquired and have also been able to practice them at their workplace.

JANBI certification is a minimum requirement to work in Nepalese Banking industry and more than 3000 banking professionals nationwide have already registered for the course and more than 1000 have already been JANBI Certified.

We believed that the initiative taken by Kamana Sewa would set the industry trend and will ultimately create competent, qualified and productive pool of human capital for the industry.
