Bhaktapur, March 25. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, Upendra Yadav, has said that the government has been moving ahead with a commitment to eradicate tuberculosis.
At a programme organised by National Tuberculosis Centre, Bhaktapur, on Sunday on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day, Deputy Prime Minister Yadav said that the government has made preparation to establish a modern tuberculosis treatment and research centre.
He further said that it was necessary to create public awareness as some of the people are still unknown that tuberculosis could be cured if it gets timely treatment.
The Health Minister said that the government has forwarded a plan to establish health institutions in states and local levels to eradicate the disease.
