SEE from 8:00 am tomorrow; all preparations complete
Bhaktapur, March 23 . All preparations have been completed for the Secondary Education Examinations (SEE) beginning from tomorrow.
According to the Office of Controller of Examinations, Sanothimi, the exam schedule has been fixed from 8:00 am and a total of 475,003 students from across the country are sitting for the exam.
The SEE is being conducted under the federal set-up for the first time from this year, Controller Bishnu Prasad Adhikari said. It will run until April 4.
Of the students qualified to appear the SEE, 238 thousand 558 are girls and 236 thousand 445 are boys and the highest number of students (10,602) are from State 3 while the least number (35,624) are from the Karnali State.
Similarly, 83 thousand 818 are from the State 1; 70 thousand 518 are from the State 2; 48 thousand 63 represent the Gandaki Province; 76 thousand 983 are from the State 5 and 53 thousand 972 represent the Far-West State.
A total of 1,969 centers have been set-up for the exams while 1,969 superintendents; 3,167 deputy superintendents and 29,535 security forces will be mobilised to conduct the exams scheduled from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.
The respective State government took the entire responsibility of conducting the exam – from its management, operation, monitoring, and purchase of paper sheets for the first time after the country switched to federalism, according to National Examinations Board chair Prof Dr Chandra Mani Poudel.
The Board has taken up the responsibility of printing the question papers, checking of answer sheets and publishing the results. Last year, questions were asked in four categories. Questions papers of six subjects towards the general group will be different province-wise while towards the technical and Sanskrit, they are same in all provinces.
