150,000 tickets for FIFA Women’s World Cup sold
PARIS, Nov. 8 . A total of 150,000 tickets for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 have been sold since September, according to FIFA on Thursday.
FIFA revealed that 45,000 ticket packages, starting from 25 euros allowing fans to watch three matches at one of the stadiums, have been sold since the first sales phase was launched in September, with the biggest buyers coming from France and the United States combining 86 percent.
A total of nine different ticket packages are on offer so that fans can watch between three and seven matches.
Over one million tickets are expected to go on sale for the competition, which will see its glory up for grabs for 24 teams through 52 matches. Individual tickets will go on sale on Dec. 10 until Dec. 23, 2018.
The tournament will take place in Grenoble, Le Havre, Lyon, Montpellier, Nice, Paris, Reims, Rennes and Valenciennes from June 7 to July 7, 2019.
Lyon, which will host the semifinals and the final, has already sold all of over 22,000 packages for three matches. Other host cities of Paris, Rennes and Valenciennes have also witnessed brisk sales.
The tournament’s drawing ceremony will take place on Dec. 8 in Paris. Enditem
