NEPSE turns bearish, suffers double-digit fall
23 April, Kathmandu : The domestic share market Monday suffered a two-digit fall, making share holders disappointed.
The Nepal Stock Exchange Index (NEPSE) which had recorded a 50-point surge Sunday slid by 27 points today to touch 1,410 points.
The sensitive index that measures the value of shares of ‘A’ class companies was closed at 298.04 points today with a fall by 6.07 points. As the NEPSE says, a total of 3,114,618 units share of 170 companies were traded and the total turnover was Rs 151, 9942,815.
Banks lost 25.16 points, business companies 5.99 points, hotels 78.78 points, development banks 31.54 points, hydropower sector 54.73 points, finances 9.59 points, insurance companies 88.44 points, productive sector 29.08 points while share value of a group of micro finances decreased by 30.78 points today.
