NEPSE up by 1.08 percent; all setors except hydropower close in green
KATHMANDU, MARCH 10: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by 1.08 points to close at 2052 points on the week’s first trading day. The total turnover in the share market stood at Rs 2.92 billion.
During today’s trading session, the share prices of 114 companies went up while 46 declined. Similarly, the stock value of 4 companies remained unchanged.
Except for hydropower, the sub-indices of all other sectors closed in the green. It was microfinance which saw the highest gain of 4.21 percent. Likewise, the commercial banks, development banks, hotels, investment and life insurance increased 0.74 percent, 1.08 percent, 1.12 per cent, 1.26 per cent and 1.84 per cent respectively. Similarly, the sub-indices of manufacturing and processing, non-life insurance, “others”, and trading gained 0.91 per cent, 1.34 percent, 0.28 per cent and 0.65 percent respectively.
When it comes to the individual companies, Win Nepal Microfinance and Jalpa Community Micrifinace each gained 10 per cent, hitting the positive circuit of the day.
