NEPSE goes down by over 14 points

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 15: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index on Thursday plummeted by 14.46 points to close at 2,062.03 points. The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also declined by 3.71 points. The daily turnover today decreased by Rs 3.86 billion from Rs 4.25 billion on Wednesday.
Sectorwise, all except for Manufacturing and Processing closed in the red. The sub-index of the Finance Index saw the highest loss of 2.71%, while the HydroPower sub-index saw the least decline of 0.30%.
During today’s trading, Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) led the turnover with transactions worth Rs 220 million. Bottlers Nepal Limited (BNL) and Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SAMAJ) both posted a gain of 10%, breaking the positive circuit for the day.
On the contrary, Mailung Khola Jal Vidhyut Company Limited lost the most at 5.70 percent, closing at a market price of Rs 546 per share.
