NEPSE dips by a marginal 2 percent

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 20: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has declined by 1.76 points to close at 2033.06 on Tuesday. With the transaction of a total of 9,342,456 shares, the annual turnover of the stock market stood at Rs 3.11 billion.
The sensitive index that measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined by 0.88 points.
During today’s session, the sub-indices of five out of the 13 trading groups closed in the green. The Others gained the highest at 1.10%, while the Investment Index saw a minimal gain of 0.18%.
In terms of individual companies, Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) posted the highest amount of turover at Rs 310 million. Likewise, Bottlers Nepal Limited (BNL) and Samaj Laghubitta Bittiya Santha Limited (SAMAJ) each gained 10%, thus breaking the positive circuit for the day.
Comversely, Greenlife Hydropower Limited (GLH) witnessed the highest loss of 10%.
