Paragliding Pre-World Cup to be held in Pokhara next week

Pokhara February 18– The Paragliding Pre-World Cup is scheduled to take place from February 27 in Pokhara of Kaski district. Organised by the Nepal Air Sports Association (NASA), Pokhara, the week-long competition aims at promoting tourism through entertaining and adventure sports, NASA Chairman Sovit Baniya said at a press conference in Pokhara today..
Baniya said that a total 150 paragliding pilots from 35 countries including Nepal will take part in the competition. The participating pilots will fly from Sarangkot of Pokhara and land on the shore of the Phewa Lake.
To be funded by the NASA, Nepal Tourism Board and the participants, the competition is estimated to cost around Rs 5.68 million.
