Nepal reach final by defeating USA by 6 wkts

Kathmandu Oct 19- Nepal will play Ireland in the final of the U-19 World Cup qualifier defeating USA by six wickets in Malaysia.

Nepal finished on 114 for four chasing 110 runs for victory at the Kinrara Oval in Kuala Lumpur. Yogendra Singh Karki smashed a not out half-century as Nepal made light work of their opponent after winning the toss and fielding first. Karki’s hit 11 fours for his 53 off just 46 balls. Sunil Dhamala (17) and Saurav Khanal (16 not out) also contributed and helped Nepal reach the target in just 17.5 overs. A five wickets haul from Prem Tamang helped Nepal bowl out USA for the low total. Tamang conceded just 31 runs from nine overs. Aarif Sheikh had two and Dipendra Singh Airee and Sushil Kandel had one wicket each to their name.

Sagar Patel topscored for USA with 44 runs.

Only the winner of the tournament will be selected for the U-19 World Cup.
