President running shield concludes in Syangja

Syangja, Feb. 26 – The Gangalal Higher Secondary School based in Chapakot has won the title of Syangja district level Fourth President Cup Running Shield Sports Tournament.

 

The Gangalal Higher Secondary became the best team securing total 111 points in final round of tournament held on Tuesday. Likewise, Janajyoti Higher Secondary, Kuwakot and Janapriya Higher Secondary, Chinnebas turned to be second and third with total 75 and 53 points.

 

The first, second and third winners have received cash prize of Rs 15,000, Rs 11,000 and Rs 9,000 with shield, medals and letters of appreciation. Likewise, towards Athletics too, Gangalal Higher Secondary has clinched the title followed by Janajyoti Higher Secondary and Baidi Secondary in second and third position.

 

At the prize distribution programme, Chief District Officer of Syangja Krishna Bahadur Raut said the sports offer stamina to students and encourage them to maintain discipline.
