Open Natl Badminton Championship from Thursday

Kathmandu, Dec 10 – The Open National Badminton Championship by Gangata Youth Club is going to start from December 12, Thursday.
The championship will comprise the men´s singles and veteran´s single categories, said championship coordinator Birendra Thapa. Some 200 players will paricipate in the championship.
The player winning the men´s singles will bag a prize of one hundred thousand rupees, the runner-up Rs 50 thousand and the player coming out third Rs 15 thousand. The prize money for the men´s singles is so far the highest amount in the country, according to the organizers.
Similarly, the player coming out first in the veterans event will bag Rs. 30 thousand, second Rs 15 thousand and third five thousand.
The championship will be held at Bishal Multi Sports Training and Tournament Center at Gongabu.
