Nepal enters close to world cup

Kathmandu, Nov 24- Nepal after the victory against Bermuda by 21 run  has entered to second round of the T-twenty Qualifiers.

Nepal will get entry to the Cricket Wolrd cup if it comes at top 4 positions of the qualifier game.

Nepal currently lies third in Group B, but the final group standings would be determined only after the Denmark Vs Scotland and Afghanistan Vs Kenya matches on Sunday.

However, Nepal does not have any chances of moving up in the table irrespective of Sunday's results.

Scotland would have to beat Denmark by a huge margin to finish above Nepal in the table, while a victory over group leader Afghanistan in its last group on Sunday would be enough for Kenya to secure a third-place finish.

If Nepal finishes third in the group, it will face the second-placed team from Group A in the second round. A victory in the second-round match would guarantee Nepal's  place in the World T20 championship to be held in Bangladesh next year. Even if it loses the match, Nepal will still get opportunity to play against lower-placed teams for a place in the finals.

With a match in hand, Afghanistan leads Group B with 10 points and is the favorite to qualify for the World Cup as the group winner.

Second-placed Netherlands and third-placed Nepal have 10 and eight points respectively from seven matches. Kenya and Scotland are in the fourth and fifth positions with six points each.
