15th National Women Football Tournament has kicked off

Kathmandu, Oct 20 – The 15th National Women Football Tournament has kicked off from today.

 

Game is being held at Hetuda of Makawanpr and Bardghat in Nawalparasi ground. A total of 28 teams from 25 districts and three departmental teams are vying for the title in the knock out tournament.

 

The game will be played under knock out system. The players have been divided in to 2 teams.

 

Dailekh, Banke Dhankuta, Dhanusha, Kathmandu, Kanchanpur, Jhapa, Raiutahat, Chitwan, Saptari, Sunsari, Makwanpur, Surkhet, Udaypur, Kaski, Bardiya, Morang and Panchthar are participating in the game.  

 

Likewise, Rupendehi, Illam and departmental team of Tribhuwan Army Club(TAC), Armed Police force(APF) and Nepal Police Club women will take part in competition.

 

The winning team will get cash prize of 3 lakhs rupees and runner up team will get 50 thousands rupees. Similarly two team entering to the semifinals will get cash prize of 50 thousands. The best player will get scooter as a prize.

 

The best coach, Goal keeper, Defense, Midfielder and Forward will get the 25 thousands respectively.  As per the ANFA, a total of 38 lakhs rupees is to be expended in the competition. The competition will last till kartik 15.
