Afganistan defeated Nepal by 3 runs

Kathmandu, August 17 – Afghanistan has defeated Nepal by 3 runs in the opening match of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Emerging Teams Cup in Singapore on Saturday.

 

A solid half-century from skipper Paras Khadka turned in vain when Nepal missed on the 170 runs target set by Afghanistan by three runs. Nepal and Afghanistan have met five times in the past in the 50-over format. Nepal had defeated Afghanistan in the ACC Trophy Elite 2004, which marked Afghanistan´s first international participation in cricket.
