IPL spot fixing; Raj Kundra surrenders passport to Delhi Police
New Delhi, June 6 – Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra has surrendered his passport to Delhi Police in the IPL spot-fixing scandal on Thursday.
According to source, Kundra has been told not to leave the country.
This comes a day after he was questioned for almost 12 hours, as sources told TOI that the NRI businessman might have been betting during IPL matches and could be charged with the offence. He was allowed to go after questioning on Wednesday.
Delhi Police also asked Kundra about his team's partnership and investment pattern since he only owns 11.7% in the team. The major stakes are held by people based abroad-Manoj Badale, Lachlan Murdoch and Suresh Chellaram.
