Tribhuwan army in the Q-finals of Gurkha Cup

Kathmandu, June 5 – Tribhuwan Army Club has entered into the quarter-finals of the Gurkha Cup as group ‘C’ winners after Tanka Basnet’s all important goal have sealed 1-0 win over heavyweights Manang Marshyangdi Club at Dasharath Stadium on Tuesday.
Apart from the standings, the win made little difference for Manang as they also have already qualified for the knock out phase of the tournament.
The only goal of the match came mid-way through the second half when Basnet broke the deadlock, taking them all the way for a memorable win.
Group ‘C’ winners, Army will take on group ‘A’ runners-up Nepal Police Club in the quarter-finals while Manang will compete against group ‘A’ leaders NMB Machhindra FC.
In the other match of the day, Sankata Club played a goalless draw against Tushal Youth Club.
