International Tenjing Hillari Marathon 2070 awarded Ramkumar as winner.
Kathmandu, May 29 – One of the toughest marathons in the world, International Tenjing Hillari Marathon 2070 organized by Himalayan Expedition has declared the winner – Ramkumar Raj Bhandari. He crossed the a 60-km ultra race distance in 3 hours 59 minute and 45 second.
Similarly DB cooling Rai could score 2nd position and tirtha tamang secured third position. The marathon was started from the Everest Base Camp, situated at an altitude of 5,300 meters, and ended at Namche Bazar (3,450 meters).
The oldest runner in this year´s marathon is 72-year-old Christopher Geiger from Switzerland while the youngest is Monyean Foote, 18, from Australia, who is participating in the women´s section.
