Nepal lies in the bottom of the chart after consecutive defeats

Kathmandu, April 30 – Nepal cricket world Cup dream hangs in balance after losing to Uganda by six wickets in their second match of the ICC World ricket League Division 3 on Monday.

This is the second consecutive defeat for the Himalayan nation, which was earlier tipped as favorite to clinch the tournament. Nepal had lost to USA by a huge margin of 94 runs in their first match.

Nepal had won the toss and choose to bat first.

Nepal had a good start with opener Subash Khakurel and Pradeep Airee sharing 33-run partnership for the first wicket. The downfall began when Khakurel was bowled for five runs in the seventh over. Nepal continued losing wickets in regular intervals and failed to stitch a partnership in front of disciplined bowling attack.

Uganda's bowler Davis Arinaitwe who grabbed three wickets in his 9.2 overs giving just 12 runs. Frank Nsubuga and Brian Masaba respectively took three and two wickets.

Nepal lies in the bottom of the chart after two consecutive defeats. Uganda and USA have common four points from two matches but the previous tops the table with better net run rate. Nepal will play their third match against host Bermuda on May 1.
