Gurung won gold in ATC

Kathmandu, April 29 – Nepali Triathlete Rajib Kumar Gurung has won a gold medal at the ASTC (Asian Triathlon Confederation), Asian Triathlon Championships 2013 in Sprint Discipline (750 m swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running) in the 35-39 age group, on Sunday.
The championship is being held in Subic Bay, the Philippines. It was the first time that Nepalese athlete was participating in any international event on foreign soil. The Tribhuvan Army Club athlete was selected for the tournament winning the first South Asian Championships in Pokhara on March 30.
