Rain affects Nepali players in ICC WCL

Kathmandu, April 27 – The practice match between Nepali national cricket team and Bermuda XI ahead of the ICC World Cricket League Division 3 was hampered out due to wet pitch and outfield.
The Nepali team, which is in Bermuda to play Division 3, instead practised for three hours in net and center wicket at Rangers Club Ground, South Hampton.
Nepal, which has reached Division 3 for the first time, hopes to win the tournament or at least secure a place in the World Cup Qualifiers. Nepal is to face the host Bermuda, Italy, Uganda, Oman and the USA in the Division 3 tournament.
Nepal, which had defeated the USA in the league and the final match of Division 4, is one of the favorites to win the Division 3 tournament. The team is high on confidence after lifting the ACC Trophy and reaching the final of the recently concluded ACC T20 Cup, where it was defeated by Afghanistan.
Nepal has won its previous three encounters against Italy and two against Oman. Likewise, Nepal had defeated Bermuda in the World T20 Qualifiers last year.
